Leahy Beekeeping is a small, family-run business based in the West of Ireland. Four generation’s of beekeepers with a wealth of experience
We live in is in Galway East on the slopes of the Sliabh Aughty Mountains.
We keep our native Irish bees in traditional hives on the mountain where they take nectar and pollen from the wild heather.
We also have hives in our garden, natural pastures and in woodlands nearby.
The honey from these bees is scented with wildflowers.
Our Honey is 100% Raw, obtained in the traditional way, with all of the health benefits that brings.

Honey is not just for eating though.
It goes into skincare products, the beeswax is used to make food wraps and we also sell the bee pollen and propolis tincture which are so good for the body and soul.
All of the products we make are 100% natural.
We collaborate with Gra chocolates who use our honey as well as The Dough Bros, Aran Goat Cheese, Galway Hooker Brewery and other artisan producers.
We also sell to shops and restaurants around Ireland.
We are members of Good Food Ireland, Origin Green, Slow Food Ireland, EuroToques and we hold several Great Taste and Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards.
